Junior High Youth Group
The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is a well-established part of many Methodist Churches. Our dynamic leaders for the Junior High Group, Sara and Tom Wishman and Bruce and Susan Wattle, work with Pastor Carmen Perry and Judy Toone to implement WUMC's vision for this group. These adult leaders plan meaningful and fun meetings, events, and mission activities geared for youth in grades 5-8. Our focus is exploring God, our faith, and serving our church and community, while hanging out and building frienships. With the help of our wonderful parent volunteers, we are able to maintain a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for our youth.
During the 2011-2012 school year, the Junior High Youth Group will meet on Saturdays, usually twice a month. Be sure to check this Web page and the online calendar on this Web site for exact dates, times, and locations of our meetings. We'll also include information about our meetings in the Weekly Announcements in the bulletins and in The Messenger newsletter. In addition, the leaders will contact youth group members through e-mails and phone calls. Remember, our meetings and events are open to all youth grades 5-8 - so bring your friends!
Throughout the year, photos of some of our events will posted on the Junior High Photo Gallery page of this Web site!!
