WUMC Annual Choir Easter Brunch 2010

Over 75 Served!

For over 20 years, our music directors, Wendy Amuso and Judy Stafford, have organized a delicious brunch on Easter Sunday morning for all of the people involved in the two worship services. This year the Easter brunch was served to approximately 75 people between the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services including the Chancel Choir members, their families, the ushers, and the pastors. A special thank you to everyone who prepared brunch dishes and to Carol Forden and Lori Aloisio who were are servers. We had a lovely time of feasting and fellowship!

Let us give thanks!

WUMC Celebrates 20 Years
with Judith Stafford and Wendy Amuso

In 1987, WUMC was in search of a new choir director. What the church got was something that far surpassed our expectations: Wendy Amuso and Judith Stafford. These two abundantly skilled choir directors have brought an amazing energy to the choirs. They have found both spiritually reverent and uplifting pieces of music for the Chancel (adult) choir. The Advent (children’s) choir always brings heartfelt applauds from the congregation when they sing. The Memorial handbell choir knocks our United Methodist socks off whether they are playing with jubilation or serenity.

More than music, you can tell just by looking around that each person in these choirs is someone who truly enjoys being there and is having fun. It’s something bigger than singing or playing handbells. It is a perfect example of Christian fellowship.

We are so grateful to have Judy and Wendy as leaders in our music ministry, which is why members of the choir, congregation and church staff were invited to honor their 20th anniversary of service with a commemoration during the service, and later on a Miss Buffalo Cruise that took place on Sunday, June 3, 2007. As you can see from the pictures, a great time was had by all!

Letter of Thanks
from Wendy and Judy

To the Pastors, the Chancel Choir, the Advent Choir, the Memorial Handbell Choir, and the entire congregation of the Williamsville United Methodist Church: We are humbled that you chose to honor our 20-year career as music ministers at WUMC in such a special way! Since the day we were hired, we knew we could Make a Difference by serving God with our unique method of service. We knew that through hard work, humor, compassion and love, we could develop a music program that would honor the history of the Williamsville United Methodist Church.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for letting us know that we were successful in our goal of praising the Lord with our gift of music. Our vision could not have been met without the dedication of every single member of the Chancel Choir, the Advent Choir, the Memorial Handbell Choir, the pastors, and every talented musician that we have ever had the privilege of working with over the past 20 years.

We look forward to the challenge of each exciting new season, and promise to make every future year the best possible tribute to our faith that we possibly can. Thank you so much for your praise and support.

We love you all.

Wendy & Judy
