Annual Church Charge Conference
Every December, the current District Superintendent presides over WUMC's annual business meeting. In these pictures, The Rev. Natalie Hanson's enthusiasm for the future, which includes merging six annual conferences into three, was inspiring. The evening included a relaxed sharing of information about our future as a member of the bigger conference, as well as the business matters of our congregation. We shall not soon forget the evening's catch phrase: UpperNewYork.org. (Do check it out.) Rev. Hanson was touched by the WUMC youth in attendance, reminding us they are our future. Rev. Hanson had those in attendance encircle the room and take time to look at each member in the chain, which provided a meaningful and moving close to the Charge Conference.
