Over the last few months, we have been including an update on the Amherst UMC Collaboration discussions, brainstorming and visioning on the front page of the Messenger. This month is no exception. 

As of today, several small teams made of representatives from all 4 churches brain stormed ideas about different areas of church life: worship, missions, children & youth,  evangelism, adult spiritual nurture, communications & tech. These brainstormed ideas  included both the things currently happening in these four churches, as well as some ideas on where the churches would like to go in the future if we could work together and leverage our combined resources.  

The larger team has generated many good ideas (almost too many) and we must prioritize and curate them. The laity have met with the pastors of all churches to "check-in"  and receive guidance on how to continue discerning God's vision.
