For the past several years, Christ United Methodist Church, a reconciling congregation, has sought to stand in solidarity and support with the LBGTQIA+ community. One particular way has been in support of Buffalo’s Annual Pride Parade. This year’s Pride Parade is happening Sunday June 7, 2026 at 11am.

This year’s theme is: Rooted in joy. Rooted in history. Rooted in resistance. Rooted in Pride.

All of The United Methodist faith communities of the Niagara Frontier are being invited by Christ UMC to participate in this event. To that end, CUMC has registered as ‘United Methodists of the Niagara Frontier’ to participate in the parade broadly.

Anyone we attends is encouraged to bring banners, signs, flags to help spread the message of love and support of United Methodist faith communities. For those unable to be present early enough to walk in the parade or not physically able, consider supporting along the parade route that day. The walk itself is from Forest Avenue to Allen Street. Parade line-up begins in the morning at Buffalo State University (1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo NY).

Once Pastor Daven has specifics on the assigned time and plans for the pre-gathering, we will send them out via email and social media.

May we together promote a singular, powerful, clear message that “All means ALL - God’s love is inclusive.”
